Emphysema

Emphysema is a chronic lung disease characterized by an abnormal increase in the size of air sacs in the bronchioles, making for difficult breathing and wheezing.  Anyone with this condition needs to avoid cigarette smoke and atmospheric pollution.  Nutritional treatment involves improving circulation to the lungs and protecting lung tissue with extra antioxidants, especially vitamin E to a total of 1,600 IU per day
