Menstrual Disorders

Most menstrual disorders, including irregular flow and excessive flow (menorrhagia), can be improved by supporting the adrenal glands, thyroid function and the production of female hormones.  Flaxseed Oil provides essential fatty acids from which the body makes female hormones.  Supplementary iodine is almost always of benefit

Total lack of menstrual flow (amenorrhea) is often caused by protein malnutrition from excessive dieting, anorexia, or improper vegan food combining.  Increasing dietary protein and/or supplementing with a hydrolyzed (pre-digested) protein supplement is required in such cases.

Menstrual cramps are usually symptomatic of calcium imbalance, which can be restored by taking a supplementary calcium-magnesium formula.
